CAMBRIDGE SCIENCE FESTIVAL
Come visit the iGEM booth at the Cambridge Science Festival! We will be at the Science Carnival in the Cambridge Public Library. Learn more about the exciting field of synthetic biology and encode your name in DNA. This event is FREE and open to the public.
2019 Wintersession BioDesign Bootcamp
Our 2019 BioDesign Bootcamp ran from January 19-25. Participants learned about concepts and techniques in synthetic biology, performed their own lab experiments involving bacterial transformation and fluorescent microscopy, and teamed up for presentations on a synthetic biology topic of their choice.
Meet the current research team members!

The iGEM research program is an international competition that brings together teams from schools all over the world in the Hynes Convention Center in Boston to present their research. Check out the 2018 Harvard iGEM team's wiki page to learn more about their work this year!

Check out some of the amazing projects that students came up with over the weekend Biohackathon!

A special thanks to our judges from Aldatu Biosciences, Ginkgo Bioworks, Vaxess, Visterra, Z Imaging, and Harvard faculty for coming out to support undergraduate innovations in science.

We would also like to recognize Harvard URAF and SEAS for making the Biohackathon possible.

VAXESS INDUSTRY TOUR
Harvard College iGEM will be hosting an outing to Vaxess Technologies, a silk biomaterials company that uses silk proteins to improve the stability of biological compounds in addition to developing the MIMIX patch for more robust vaccine delivery. Vaxess was founded by Harvard graduate students in the Harvard iLabs and is now located in Kendall Square.
ALL Wet-Lab Workshop
APRIL 20TH 2018
In collaboration with the Active Labs Learning Labs, we held an ice cream social and synthetic biology workshop. A.L.L. staff Melissa introduced students to the concepts behind synthetic biology while sharing some ice cream. iGEM team members and interested students who signed up then learned basic wet-lab techniques, such as pipetting and inserting plasmids into bacteria to grow colonies.

BosLab Tour
APRIL 30TH 2017 (12:30 - 4:00 PM)
Amazing opportunity to speak with project leaders and tour the facilities at BosLab in Somerville! BosLab is Boston’s “open science laboratory,” a biohacker space, where anyone in the community can learn about biology, perform experiments, and collaborate on new or existing projects.
